Nearly 100-Year-Old Message In A Bottle Found In St. Clair River (The Police - 'Message in a Bottle')

A local diver's discovery of a nearly 100-year-old message in a bottle has caused a stir in Michigan, where historians have been working to solve the mystery of its authors.

Dave Leander of the Great Lakes Dive Center happened upon the cool find while diving for treasure 30 feet below the surface of the St. Clair River last June.

Man's Cremated Ashes Found At San Diego Car Wash -- 17 Years After His Death

Out of the ashes of time, a man's cremated ashes have mysteriously appeared at a San Diego car wash 17 years after his death.

The man's name is Henry Efebvre and a box containing his ashes was recently left behind at OB Suds, a car wash in San Diego.

However, the sticker on the box said Efebvre's dust dated back to 1995, a detail that perplexed Liz Greene of the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association, which is currently holding the box until the owner can be found.

More than decade later, message in the bottle found off Maine coast

Volunteers picking up trash in a coastal Maine community found a message in a bottle that apparently floated down the coast from Canada.

Becky Lee of Downeast Coastal Conservancy says she discovered the note as she and others cleaned up Tibbett Island off of South Addison.

The plastic soda bottle was under a spruce tree with other debris.

The note from a young Canadian girl named Taryn had been tossed in the ocean in July 2000.
